This policy explains how FormatFit handles information when you use the resume and cover-letter service.
Information we collect
- Account information, including your email address and a securely hashed password.
- Documents and text you submit, including resumes, job descriptions, and optional instructions.
- Basic product events such as registration, uploads, generations, downloads, and purchases. We do not place resume, job-description, or cover-letter text in product analytics.
- Payment status and purchased-credit information. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by FormatFit.
How information is used
We use submitted information to provide the service, generate requested documents, preserve resume formatting, manage accounts and credits, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
Service providers
FormatFit relies on service providers for AI generation, hosting, private file storage, database hosting, and payment processing. Information is shared only as needed to provide those functions.
Storage and retention
Account data and saved files are retained while needed to operate the private beta. You may replace your saved resume in the app. A verified deletion-request process and automated cloud-file retention are being finalized before public launch.
Your choices
You may choose not to submit optional information. You can sign out at any time and request access to or deletion of your account information once the public support channel is available.
Security
We use account isolation, private storage, encrypted HTTPS connections, hashed passwords, and signed payment webhooks. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
